Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a broad group of analysis techniques used in science and industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component, or system without causing damage. Essentially, it allows technicians to inspect a part for flaws, cracks, or structural integrity without destroying it or taking it out of service.

Rebound Hammer Test

The Rebound Hammer Test (often called the Schmidt Hammer test) is a quick,non-destructive method used to estimate the compressive strength of concrete.Invented by Ernst Schmidt in 1948, it operates on a simple principle: when a spring-driven mass hits a concrete surface, how hard it bounces back depends on how hard the concrete

Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

This method passes high-frequency sound waves through a material. If the sound hits a flaw (like a hidden crack or air pocket), it bounces back early. Technicians read these sound reflections on a screen to map exactly where and how deep a defect is located.

Half-Cell Potential Test

The Half-Cell Potential Test is a non-destructive electrochemical testing method used to detect active corrosion in steel rebar embedded inside concrete structures.If the Rebound Hammer test tells you how hard the concrete is, the Half-Cell Potential test acts like an early-warning battery check, telling you if the hidden steel skeleton is rusting away before cracks or rust stains ever show up on the surface.

The Concrete Carbonation Test is a diagnostic method used to determine how deeply atmospheric carbon dioxide has penetrated into a concrete structure.While the Half-Cell Potential Test checks if rebar is currently corroding, a carbonation test reveals why it might start.
